Snacking is as much a part of the fun in the parks for our family as the rides are. Just like we shared all the best Disneyland snacks, now we’re sharing all of the best California Adventure snacks + where you can find each one.

BEST CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE SNACKS – SWEET
JACK-JACK COOKIE NUM NUM
Though you can also find this one at Hollywood Studios, the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num fits in perfectly at Disney’s California Adventure. We often like to get one to share while waiting in line for the Incredicoaster – or to take back to the hotel for later. You’ll find this deliciously large, warm cookie at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums for $8.29.
IT’S A SNOW-CAPPED LEMON!
Totally unique to DCA is the It’s a Snow-Capped Lemon treat from Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. This lemon soft serve is topped with a white chocolate snow cap, and it’s a fun and refreshing treat on a hot day. Shockingly, though, the line was even longer when we visited in the winter! This treat costs $6.79 and comes in lemon, mango, or raspberry soft serve. For $7.99, you can upgrade it to include chamoy, chile lime seasoning, and diced mango.
SECRET MENU COCKTAILS AT LAMPLIGHT LOUNGE
Located on Pixar Pier, Lamplight Lounge is known for its signature cocktails, but did you know that it also has a secret menu of cocktails?! The Sea Witch (left) and Dole Whip (right) are two of our favorites from the well-publicized secret menu.
SEASONAL CHURROS
While we always get regular churros at Disneyland, we tend to gravitate towards the seasonal offerings at California Adventure. Over the years, we’ve tried a variety from banana pudding to maple bacon to peppermint, and they’re definitely a fun treat. Look for the churro carts around the park, as they typically have both the regular and seasonal varieties.
CHOCO SMASH CANDY BAR
If you’re looking for a chocolate-y treat, then look no further! The Choco Smash Candy Bar is back at Pym Test Kitchen, and it’s the perfect sweet treat to share. This giant candy bar is made of caramel, nougat, peanuts, brownies, and dark chocolate. It tastes like a cross between a Snickers bar and a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. The Choco Smash Candy Bar is $8.49 and totally worth the price!
UPSIDE-DOWN PINEAPPLE BREAD PUDDING (SEASONAL)
Aunt Cass Café often offers seasonal bread pudding, and the Upside-Down Pineapple Bread Pudding is one of my favorite seasonal treats at Disney’s California Adventure. You can typically find this one in the spring, and it’s the perfect mix of fruit and sweetness. The pineapple chunks, custard, and whipped cream pair perfectly with the cherries. This one is absolutely delicious, especially if you’re a pineapple upside-down cake lover.
SCHMOOZIE’S SEASONAL SHAKES
Schmoozie’s is the place to go for smoothies and shakes at California Adventure. The menu changes seasonally, and the choices are a bit over the top and fun. During the holidays, we tried one of the seasonal shakes – the Buñuelo shake ($13.29). The cinnamon sugar concoction literally tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk. The crispy buñuelo on top definitely gave CTC vibes – SO GOOD!!
BEST CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE SNACKS – SAVORY
LOBSTER NACHOS
Oh, the California Adventure Lobster Nachos!! We’ve loved these for yearsssss – first at the Cove Bar and now at Lamplight Lounge on Pixar Pier. Due to recent changes, you can only get the lobster nachos upstairs at Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining (which is walk-up only), but hopefully, they’ll be available throughout the whole restaurant again at some point. We often get two orders of lobster nachos ($26 each) to split as a late lunch or hearty snack on a busy California Adventure day.
QUANTUM PRETZEL
The oversized Quantum Pretzel is another delightful offering from Pym Test Kitchen at Avengers Campus. Weighing just over a pound, it’s great for sharing and comes with a side of cheddar cheese beer sauce. Despite its size, the price is reasonable at $13.99.
HOT-LINK CORN DOG
The Corn Dog Castle at Disney’s California Adventure uses the same ingredients as the Little Red Wagon at Disneyland, long known for having the best corn dogs in the country. But unlike Disneyland, Corn Dog Castle has a Hot Link Corn Dog that my kids have declared the best corn dog at Disneyland Resort. It’s spicy but not TOO spicy, and it comes with a cutie or a bag of chips for $10.99.
QUESABIRRIA TACOS
We often eat dinner in San Fransokyo Square and order from various restaurants, creating a smorgasbord of Mexican, Asian, and American foods. And we ALWAYS order the QuesaBirria Tacos from Cocina Cucamonga.
They’re braised beef and cheese tacos with tomatillo salsa and consomé, packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I usually eat both tacos for dinner, but since there are two, they’re easy to split as a snack and only $12.49.
CHILI CONE QUESO
Another must-do in our family is the Chili Cone Queso from the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land. The bread cone is packed with chili, cheese, and Fritos. It is available at Cozy Cone #3 for $10.49, and there are often seasonal varieties, so make sure to check those out as well.
The Chili Cone Queso is a delicious portable snack you can eat while waiting in line for a ride in Cars Land. Since mobile ordering is available, you can schedule a pick-up time while you’re in line for a ride and grab your order before hopping in the next line.
SAN FRANSOKYO-STYLE STREET CORN
Another great snack is the San Fransokyo-Style Street Corn, also found at Cocina Cucamonga. Like most street corn, this cob is flavorful and delicious, but this time, it has a Japanese twist. It’s topped with togarashi mayonnaise, queso fresco, furikake, and bonito flakes and served with spiced wheat chicharrones for $8.99.
BOUDIN BREAD
One of the easiest snacks to split is a giant sourdough loaf from the Boudin Bread Cart. On our most recent visit, we opted for the Christmas tree-shaped sourdough, which was made of pull-apart rolls and super easy to share. The shapes change seasonally, though they almost always have Mickey-shaped bread.
With so many fantastic snack options at Disney’s California Adventure, what’s the first one you want to try? What’s your vote for the best California Adventure snack?? Is there something that we missed that we should make sure to try on our next trip??
