There are so many choices when it comes to Disney Springs restaurants and they come in a variety of cuisines and price points. We often head to Disney Springs for a day of shopping but don’t want the structure of a table service meal and Chicken Guy! has become one of our go-to options for a quick, but still delicious, meal. It’s located in the Town Center section of Disney Springs, right in the middle of all the action, making it the perfect spot for a mid-day break!
A big thanks to Chicken Guy! for hosting us for a delicious lunch. We received a complimentary meal but all of my opinions are honest and my own.
Open for almost a year, Chicken Guy! is the brainchild of chef Guy Fieri and has become one of the most popular restaurants at Disney Springs. You’ll often find it with a line out the door and luckily, the line moves pretty quickly but definitely be prepared to wait a bit if you’re eating during traditional meal times.
Once you make it inside, there’s a quick wait to order your food at the counter. They give you a handy tracker to place on your table, along with your cups if you ordered fountain drinks, and then you can seat yourself inside or outside.
One of my favorite things about Chicken Guy! is how happy the employees are! Everyone that we encountered was friendly and smiling which just adds to the incredible dining experience and can totally brighten your day!
As you may have guessed, Chicken Guy! serves chicken: tenders, sandwiches, salads, but the real stars are the sauces. With over twenty sauces, all made in-house, there’s quite literally something for everyone! The spicy fans in our house loved the Peri Peri and Nashville Hot Honey while the Bourbon Brown Sugar and Teriyaki were the not-spicy favorites. Honestly, there wasn’t a single sauce that at least one person at our table didn’t like and we tried them ALL!
Meals at Chicken Guy!
We ordered sandwiches and tenders on this visit– we need to make sure to order a salad next time we’re in town because they looked DELICIOUS! An adult order of tenders is three or five, and we found that especially when combined with fries, three was more than enough. Kids’ meals come with two tenders and a choice of fruit, applesauce or fries.
The fried pickles were some of the best we’ve ever had and living in the south, we’ve tried our share of fried pickles. The batter is a bit spicy but oh so delicious, especially when paired with the Chipotle Ranch. The Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese was nice and creamy and would make another great kids’ meal choice.
Happy kiddos eating their food! We all ordered combos (and the girls ordered kids’ meals) and NO ONE left hungry. In the future, I probably wouldn’t order a combo for every person because we ended up with lots of fries and couldn’t quite finish them all.
The Southwestern Chicken Sandwich was our favorite of the three sandwiches we ordered (the Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ and The B.L.A.T. were delicious as well). With pepper jack cheese, special sauce, avocado crema, cumin lime mojo, charred corn, roasted peppers, black beans, lettuce, tomato, and crispy tortilla strips, it was like a fiesta for your mouth!
Dessert at Chicken Guy!
Did you know that Chicken Guy! has dessert?! We didn’t either, but they do and they’re DELICIOUS!! We tried both dessert options: the Triple Double Mint shake and the Apple Cinnamon Cereal shake and loved them both so much that we couldn’t pick a clear winner. The Triple Double Mint shake is made with mint chocolate soft serve, crushed Oreos, chocolate mints, chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream and peppermint patties. The Apple Cinnamon Cereal shake starts with a vanilla soft serve base and has Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Apple Jacks mixed in- it seriously tastes like Saturday morning as a child!
Chicken Guy! is one of our favorites for a quick and affordable meal at Disney Springs. The food is delicious, even though there’s usually a line it moves quickly, and it won’t break the bank. It’s the perfect choices for families since the variety of sauces allow you to really customize your meal and there’s something for everyone.
